For this tweed scarf I used size 10 needles and a chunkier yarn. Smaller needles and lighter weight yarn gives this a totally different look. A friend gave me this pattern that she had printed from the internet. I'm not sure of the official name for this scarf pattern or who to credit for the pattern, but it's a great little scarf.
Yellow and Gray Tweed Scarf Pattern
Materials: Size 10 needles, approximately 400 yards of yarnFinished size is 5" across and about 50" long.
Cast on 24 stitches.
Row 1: (K4, P4) 3 times across row.
Row 2: P1 (K4, P4) 2 times across row, end with K4, P3
Row 3: K2 (P4, K4) 2 times across row, end with P4, K2
Row 4: P3 (K4, P4) 2 times across row, end with K4, P1
Row 5: (P4, K4) 3 times across
Row 6: K1 (P4, K4) 2 times across row, end with P4, K3
Row 7: P2 (K4, P4) 2 times across row, end with K4, P2
Row 8: K3 (P4, K4) 2 times across row, end with P4, K1
Repeat these 8 rows, ending with row 8. Bind off.
Oh my gosh, this is the pattern I am using on the scarf I am currently working on! The only difference is that I am doing K3 P3 instead of K4 P4. It makes a neat texture.
